Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo (/ˈzircɛ/ /ˈzixjo/ [bronze] [present (time)]) is a subtropical Town located in Amuandbövreri̽z Parish, Vdramz̄ok District, within the Federation of Alveria.

The name Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo is derived from the Constructi language, as Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo was founded by Emdiril Dyèdsí, who was culturaly Constructi.

Climate

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo receives an average of 134 cm/y (52 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 8508 m (-15036 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo was founded durring the late 16th century in fall of the year 1485, by Emdiril Dyèdsí. The establishment of Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo was built using the conventions of Constructi durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow flagstone streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo's budget focused millitary grade defenses are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Right off the bat Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. Precisely how it has gained its wealth is a mystery. Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Civic Infrastructure

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo's parks.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a Guild of Nurses, which is tasked with caring for the elderly and infirm in accordance with local ordinances, religious values, and customs.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a Department of Firefighters, which is responsible for organizing fire fighting efforts during a fire and enforcing local ordinances relating to fire safety.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo's grid is powered by a direct leyline tap.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. In spite of the Galvanic Grid, these lights continue to use their old fule sources to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo's natural decorations nor waterways.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is recurring in Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo.

The Yothga near Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.

Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves drinking to channel Wild Magic energies of tier 2 via moments of science.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century Dread Mountain, an iconic vista located neare Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo, proved to be volcanic when the mountain erupted. The eruption was isolated to the area around Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo, which was swallowed in ash, lava flows, and pyroclastic gasses. Fìkh Zircě Zikhyo lost 102 people, 185 livestock, and 61 buildings in the disaster. The event is forever remembered as the Day of Dread's Wrath.
